KATHLEEN HILL. —Thank you for the long, interesting letter. Who looks after your pets while you are away at school? BETTY GOODMAN. —Thank you for the pen-friend's name. The little story was quite well written. RICHARD DAVIES. —Your third letter was a surprise, Dick. Yes, it is very hot and close in Auckland at present. ROBERT LESSE. —I am sorry it was too late to save any of your previous sketches. If you want the originals kept, please mark on back and enclose stamp for return. BUNTY THOMPSON. —You must have a beautiful collection of shells by now. Yes, I know the shell you described quite well, and think it very pretty. MAURICE SMALL.—Thank you for all the nice things you said about the page, Maurice. Tell Warren I should love to have a letter from him, too. How would " Trixie " do for the pony? LINDSAY GRIGG.—" Air Pioneers of the Pacific " was a good attempt. Keep up your writing and you ought to do well. JEAN ERCEG- —I will use your story, Jean, though it may be some time before it appears. EILEEN BAKER.—Drawings must be in Indian ink, Eileen. There is no need to send in contributions every week. Yes, if the illustrations were well done more marks would be given.
