MDLLE. HELENE KIRSOVA DANISH CONSULAR OFFICIAL The well-known Danish ballerina, Mdlle. Helenc Kirsova, who visited New Zealand with the Colonel do Basil Monte Carlo Russian ballet last year, is to be married 011 February .'I to Dr. Erik Fischer, vice-consul for Denmark in Sydney. "i have definitely retired from the ballet," Mdlle. Kirsova told an interviewer. "You cannot do two tilings and do them well," she remarked. "I now hope to enjoy horseback riding, tennis, and the things 1 could not do when 1 was a dancer." In addition to a Parisian trousseau and a number of wedding gifts, Mdlle. Kirsova is bringing with her a i'oiir-month-old Airedale puppy, as a gift for her fiance. She will be married at St. Mark's. Darling Point, and will have no attendants. She is looking forward to keeping housed in a home and not a flat, and expressed delight at the faithfulness of Australia. "See the lovely pile of letters and telegrams that were waiting to welcome me back," she remarked enthusiastically. Sydney people who met Helene Kirsova when she wag leading ballerina with the Colonel de Basil Monto Carlo Russian ballet last year pay tribute to her charming personality, and thousands recall with pleasure having seen her dance. When she left Sydney it was an open secret that she might return and marry.
