OKARITO DIVIDEND The Okarito Five-Mile Beach Gold Dredging Company, Limited, has declared a dividend of 7 per cent, payable 011 March 1, according to information received by the Auckland Stock Exchange. The company operates a claim in South Westland. The last payment, made in April, 1937, was equal to 6 2-3 per cent. ELECTROLYTIC ZINC RETURN Production of the Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, Limited, for the four weeks ended January 12 was as follows, figures for the preceding four weeks being given in parentheses:— Zinc, 5370 (5369) tons; of which was used at the works, 90 (90) tons; silver lead product, lead, 200 (275) tons; silver, 25,900 (29,750) oz. The West Coast mine's figures were: —Ore treated, 5440 (12,419) tons; lead concentrates, 419 (927) tons; zinc concentrates, 1888 (4199) tons. The West Coast mine was shut down for two weeks for the Christrmas period.
