AIR FEEDER SERVICE
[ HAWERA SEEKS EXTENSION [ [by TELEGRAPH OWN correspondent] WELLINGTON, Friday Further representations for the inclusion of Hawcra on a feeder service to the Auckland-Wellington air line havj been made by the Hawera Aero Club. It has been suggested to Union Airways that the Wanganui-Palmer-ston North feeder service, which is on a month's trial, could be extended to include Hawera. A suitable date for the inauguration of the service, it has been recommonded, would bo at the official opening of the Hawcra aerodrome on February 19. The aero club's licence for tho use of the ground by all types of aircraft has been renewed. The original licence, issued in 1936 and renewed last January, restricted tho use of tho ground, but following improvements permission was extended enabling any landcraft in the country to land at Hawcra. That licence, issued by tho Controller of Civil Aviation under tho Air Navigation Regulations, 1933, was renewed last week.
