BUCKLAND CROSSING
Sir, —Re your paragraph in Thursday's Herald re the Buckland crossing: an overhead bridge was definitely promised bj- the Hon. Mr. Sullivan on his rail-car visit to Buckland, as I can prove. Since the lion, gentleman tried to shoulder five-sixths of the cost on to the Franklin County Council, and when that body naturally turned down his proposal, he now says he cannot recommend the Government to bear the cost. Maybe Mr. Sullivan will tell the public why this volte face. I know the plans of the bridge have been Srepared, and that Buckland was 'o. 7 on the list for commencement. E. Allan.
