GERMAN FLAGS
Sir, —May I commend "N.L." on the suggestion, published in Thursday's Herald, that the German flags at present exhibited in the Auckland Museum, be returned to Germany. Surely in these days of international tension, misunderstanding and suspicion, no opportunity shoulcl be overlooked tlipt might tend to foster the spirit of universal peace and goodwill. If "N.L." would communicate with the writer, perhaps some move might bo made to submit the suggestion to the correct quarters. Basil H. Gossace. 2 Domett Avenue, Epsom..
