SECRETARY'S THEFTS
TWO YEARS' IMPRISONMENT [BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday Sentences totalling two years' imprisonment were imposed by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., 011 Thomas Leslie Alexander, a labourer, aged 28, of Pongaroa, on five charges of theft, including £lO4 from the Puketoi Rugby SubUnion, and £lO from a girls' hockey club. Accused had been secretary of both organisations. Detective-Sergeant A. B. Meiklejolm said that accused had been before tlio Court several times previously.
