KILLED BY A CAR
CHRISTCHURCH FATALITY [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHUKCH, Friday Fatal injuries wero suffered by Louis Arthur Panuell, aged 54 years, when Jie was struck by a car driven by Mr. Anthony Joseph Duggan in Wainoni Road at 8.50 p.m. to-day. Mr. Panuell was taken to the hospital by *an ambulance suffering from a fractured leg and head injuries. Ho died at 10.40 p.m. Mr. JDuggan is a schoolmaster at Ti Iree Point, Dannevirke. COLLISION IN A FOG DEATH OF INJURED DRIVER Injured in a motor accident at Rangiriri on January 22, Mr. Thomas Bothwick Banks, aged 28, son of Mrs. A. Banks, Euston Road, Sandringhain, died in the Waikato Hospital yesterday. Mr. Banks was driving a car from Tongariro to Auckland, when it collided during a fog with a van driven by Mr. Ronald Walter McDonald, of Jervois Road. Mr. Banks suffered head and chest injuries, and a broken arm.
