LOSS OF MEMORY
MISSING WOMAN FOUND SEARCH AT PUKAPUKA [from our owx correspondent] "WARKWORTH, Friday Missing from her home at Pukapuka since 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Miss Sarah Barker was found late this evening in scrub on the top of a hill about a mile away. Apparently suffering from loss of memory, Miss Barker was in a very weak condition and a stretcher had to be used to tako her to her home. Miss Barker lived with her brother, Mr. G. Barker, for whom she kept house. He discovered she was missing when he returned to tho house at 1 p.m. Some ironing, half-finished, was on the table, and a meal was cooking. Mr. Barker, fearing for his sister's safety, called tho police, and a search was commenced immediately, parties of Pukapuka settlers, and residents from Warkworth, 11 miles away, taking part. The searchers were about to give up at nightfall to-day, when another brother, Mr. S. Barker, who lives some miles distant from Miss Barker's home, found her in the scrub.
