PORT OF AUCKLAND STRATHNAVER ON CRUISE The arrival of the P. and 0, liner Strathnaver from Brisbane on a Now Zealand cruise was the mnin happening in the port yesterday. The Strathnaver, which carries 981 passengers, is at Prince's Wharf, and will sail at 11 o'clock to-night for Wellington. A largo number of arrivals are scheduled for the week-end, and the port will be crow ded on Monday. The Union Company's motor-ship Matua is due from Wellington on Monday morning, and will sail at 5 p.m. on Tuesday for Rarotonga, Nukualofa, Vavau, Apia and Samoa. The Waiheke Passenger Service, Limited, report that as to-day is a holiday the usual 4.15 p.m. trip of the Baroona will not be run The vessel will sail at 9.30 a.m. for Cowcs. Waiheke bays and Ponui. With cargo from Westport, the Union Company's steamer Kakapo reached Auckland early yesterday morning and berthed at King's Wharf. She will sail on Monday evening for Grcymouth to load for Auckland. The Watcblin Line motor-ship Port Waikato is expected from Wellington on Monday morning. She will berth at Central Wharf, and will sail on her return to Wellington on Tuesday evening. NEW ZEALAND LATER The Norwegian tanker New Zealand is now expected from San Francisco with a cargo of motor spirit on February 5. She will discharge at Auckland to the Texas Company. THE NORTHUMBERLAND The Federal Line steamer Northumberland is expected from Wellington to-morrow. She will berth at Prince's Wharf to complete discharge of London cargo. THE BRISBANE MARU

The Osaka Syosen Kaisya motor-ship Brisbane Maru should arrive from Lyttelton tomorrow morning. She will berth at Central Wharf to load general cargo for Japan.

THE PORT JACKSON The Port Line motor-ship Port Jackson is to leave Bluff for Auckland at 5 a.m. to-day and is due here on Tuesday to continue loading. THE PORT DARWIN The Port Line steamer Port Darwin is due at Auckland from Newcastle at 2 p.m. tomorrow. She will berth at Prince's Wharf to commence loading for London and East Coast ports of Great Britain. KAIMATA FROM NAPIER The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-ship Kaimata is expected from Napier to-morrow morning to complete loading for New York, Boston, St. John and Halifax. SURREY TO-MORROW The Federal Line steamer Surrey was scheduled to leave Waikokopu yesterday and is expected at Auckland to-morrow morning. She will load for Halifax and London at King's Wharf. L THE KENT LOADING The Federal Line steamer Kent reached Auckland from New Plymouth shortly before noon yesterday and berthed at Queen's Wharf. She is loading for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom, and will sail for Napier on Tuesday evening to continue loading.
