INSPECTION BY KING
AIR FORCE COLLEGE FAMILIAR FACES RECALLED (Received January 27, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 2(5 King George spent over three hours at the Royal Air Force College at Cranwell, Lincolnshire, to which he flew from Sandringhnin. In the course of his inspection he met several members of the staff he had known when he served at Cranwell as an officer in the RoyaJ Air Force in 1917 and 1918.
Among the familiar faces which the King recalled was that of WingCommander J. R. Cassidy, an Australian who interrupted his Rhodes Scholarship to train as an apprentice at Cranwell in 1918, and who is now chief instructor. His Majesty returned to Sandringham by air.
