Tho Auckland Lawn Tennis Association Vannual championship tournament was continued at the Stanley Street courts yesterday in fine weather with a cool .easterly wind blowing. Chief interest centred in tho third round matches in the men's singles competition. Tho title-holder, A. D. Brown, was fully extended by J. Sturt, of Auckland, advanced to tho semi-finals with four-set victories over J. W. Gunn, J. Roach and A. W. Allen respectively. In the semi-finals to-day Coornbo will oppose Bedford, whde Brown'will meet Sturt. There was a great deal of interesting play in the doubles sections—men's, ladies' and combined.
