CINGALESE REGIMENT
FORMATION AT COLOMBO (Received January 19, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 18 The Colombo correspondent of the Daily Mail states that for the first time in history a regular Regiment of Cingalese, with British officers in the senior ranks until the Cingalese are fully trained, is being raised owing to the growing importance of Trincomalee as a iiying base.
