REPAIRED AT SEA
SHIP'S STEERING GEAR (Received January 10. 5.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, Jan. 19 The coastal steamer Montoro encountered cyclonic weather off the coast of Queensland and her steering gear was damaged. She sent out an S.O.S. call, but later reported that the damage had been repaired and she was proceeding northward.
