WAR WORKER'S DEATH

MRS. GRACE A. BERTRAM [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Jan. 1 The death has occurred of Mrs. Grace Ann Bertram, of Cross Street, Willenhall, aged 74 years. During the war Mrs. Bertram, who at that time was headmistress of the Station Road Infants' School, Hednesford, took a keen interest in the welfare of Australian and New Zealand soldiers who were sent to the Cannock Chase military camp. She made many friendships among them, and with some she corresponded until the time of her death.
