OBITUARY

MR. H. H. WHITE [from our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday . The death occurred at his residence on Monday of Mr. Hedley, Hamilton White, aged 72 years. Mr. White was horn at 'Rystone, New South Wales, and came to Now Zealand as a young !man. . For . many; years he was a" wellknown school teacher on the, east coast, being ' headmaster at the Tuparoa School. He came to reside in Cambridge about seven years ago, and took an active interest-in the Competitions Society and the Literary and Dramatic Society, holding executive positions. He was also a member of the Cambridge Bowling Club. Mr. White is survived by his wife and one son and one daughter.

He served with the New Zealand Mounted Rifles .in the Great War arid was later transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, with which he served in Egypt and Salonica. Wounded in* aerial combat, he was invalided home and served on the New Zealand Staff Corps and with the New Zealand Flying Corps. Some years ago ho settled on Maritanga Station. Ho was a Successful woolgrower.
