AGGRESSIVE NAZIS
AUSTRIAN DISTURBANCES MONARCHISTS ATTACKED VIENNA, Jan. 11 Sixty Nazis, determined to break up a propaganda meeting in connection with the Austrian Monarchist movement, began cat-calling and throwing glass. The police restored order and ejected an interrupter, but the disturbance was renewed when others threw tear-gas and similar bombs. Two Nazis who dropped tear-gas bombs in another hall were beaten and arrested. Nazi threats resulted in the cancellation of a Monarchist meeting at Linz.
The meetings were part of the Monarchists' restoration propaganda campaign. In all they held 50 mass meetings in various parts of the country. The newspapers assert that illegal Nazi groups instructed their members to break up the gatherings.
