PROTECTION OF CLIFF
ROCK FACE AT KOHIMARAMA EXPENDITURE OF ABOUT £3OO Workmen employed by the City Council are at present engaged in covering with rock part of the face of the cliff on the shore side of the waterfront road, near the Kohimarama wharf. A total of £.'300 is to be spent on the work, which is expected to occupy about six men for tho next two months. The work, part of the regular maintenance, is being undertaken to prevent further damage to the unprotected, face by sun, wind and rain. Part of the cliff face was similarly surfaced some years ago, following the formation of the road. At the point now receiving attention, it has been found necessary to restore the foundation of a wall bordering private property.
