CUSTODY OF CHILD
FILM STAR'S LITIGATION DISPUTES IN THE COURT HOLLYWOOD. Jan. 11 The name of Robert Taylor, film actor, was mentioned in litigation between Barbara Stanwyck and Frank Fay for the custody of their adopted eon, Dion Anthony, aged six. Barbara Stanwyck, in cross-examina-tion, testified that Taylor, whose name was often linked romantically with hers, was a frequent visitor to her home' and played with the boy, but denied that his visits were influenced by a desire to accustom the child to Taylor, or that they constituted a reason why she did not permit Fay to visit their son. The hearing was marked by bitter disputes. V The judge once was forced to intervene to prevent a fight between the rival attorneys. The Court awarded Fay the right to visit the child on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with full custody on alternate Saturdays on condition that a nurse- is present, Fay not to bring liquor with him, either internally or externally. Miss Stanwyck is appealing. * LEADING ROLE REFUSED I * ACTRESS ' SUSPENDED HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 11 The R.K.O. studio has suspended Barbara Stanwyck for insubordination in refusing the leading role in a new film, "Distant Fields."
