POSITION RESIGNED

SECRETARY TO GOVERNOR ARRIVAL FROM QUEENSLAND i Having resigned from his post as official secretary to the Governor of Queensland, Sir Leslie Orn?e Wilson, because he did not like Queensland, Colonel G. Bunbury, formerly of the 22nd Lancers, Tndia, arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa from Sydney yesterday with the intention of settling in New Zealand. He said he topic up his duties as secretary to Sir Leslie Wilson toward the end of last year but he did not like the State and so had resigned after six weeks. One of the reasons, ho said, why he did not like Queensland was becauso it had no fishing. The -only river he had seen there was far too muddj' for fishing and it was much too hot in any case. This was quite different from New Zealand, some of whose trout streams he had seen last year. Although he had not caught any fish he knew the sport was there and he was looking forward keenly to spending some time trout-fishing this summer.
