DRAW AT NAPIER AUCKLAND BRABIN CUP SIDE [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NAPIER, Tuesday Tho cricket match between the Auckland Brabin Cup team and Hawke's Bay at Napier ended in a draw. Facing a deficit of 07 runs on the first innings,- the home team batted until the game was concluded at 4 p.m. to allow the visitors to travel to Palmerston North, and when stumps were drawn had lost eight wickets for -234 (D. Rees 83, E. D. Evans not out 72; Sheehau four wickets for 85, Hollies two for 42 and Stevenson one for 43). The -visitors created a (food impression, being alert in the field and batting freely and with confidence. i FRIENDLY MATCH A friendly, cricket match between the Selw.vn-Oraka and Papatoctoe teams resulted in a win for the former by SO runs. Details are as follows: Selwyn-Ornka.—First innings, 254 (B. 'Lowry 132 not out, Vallance 45, R. Lowry 25, Callahan 21). Bowling: Swaffield took four wickeis for 54 runs, Brobcrg two for 63 Anderson two for 38. Papatoetoe.—First innings, 105 (Broberg 41, Havill 30, Anderson 20). Bowling: R. Lowry two for 5, Vallance two for 38. Callahan three for 48.
