DEEP-SEA FISHING
721 LB. BLACK MARLIN CAUGHT [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] RUSSELL, Monday A black marlin of 7211b. was landed by Mr. G. Bonner, of Auckland, off Piercy Island from Mr. L. Blomfield's launch Valhalla. Only three heavier fish were caught last year, the largest, a thresher shark, weighing 9221b.
