NEW AIR ROUTE
LONDON-HONGKONG SERVICE BRANCH LINE FROM BANGKOK (Received December 10, 7.30 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. Dec. 18 London will be brought within eight and a-half days of Hongkong after tomorrow, when tt new Imperial Airways route will be opened between Hongkong and Bangkok, Siam. The new air line will be a branch of the main England-Australia air route, connecting with the latter at Bangkok, and is 400 miles shorter than the former Imperial Airways line to Hongkong via Penang. The service will be maintained by liners of the Diana class.
