" MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT Colliding with a telegraph pole near Cox's Creek, Grey Lynn, when he was endeavouring to avoid a motor-car shortly before 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, a motor-cyclist, Mr. William Haydon, aged 33, married, of 9 Westmere Crescent, Wcstmcre, suffered a fracture of the leg. Mr. Haydon's daughter, who was with him on the cycle, was thrown on to the roadway. The injured persons were taken in a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, but the girl was able to proceed to her home after treatment in the casualty department. Mr. Haydon's condition is not regarded as serious.
