GRADING OF BUTTER
SYSTEM QUESTIONED IDENTITY OF PRODUCE [from our own* correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday Disagreement with tho system by which Government graders knew the owners of the butter they were grading was expressed at a meeting of the South Auckland Dairy Association executive to-day. Mr. P. It. Hawko, of Hinucra, said there appeared to be a prejudice against Waikato butter at present. Mr. C. J. Parlano, New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, said tho wholo trouble had arisen with the introduction of the split grading system, which was absolutely unfair to producers, and particularly "to Waikato farmers. It was decided to seek information from New South . Wales in regard to the "blind" system or grading reported to be operating in that State.
