SINGULAR ACCIDENT
MISHAP TO YOUTH STRUCK CAR WINDSCREEN v Two persons were injured as a result of a singular accident which occurred outside the Adelphi Theatre, Grey Lynn, shortly before 11 o'clock last night. A light motor-car, driven by Mr. C. Cosgrove, of 5 John Street, Ponsonby, was proceeding along the road when a schoolboy. Cyrus Mcpherson, aged 15, of 39 Francis Street, Grey Lynn, ran from the footpath, fell" against the car, and struck the windscreen: ' ' . ■ McPherson suffered a fracture of a leg and concussion, while Mr. Cosgrove received an injury on the temple from flying glass. Both were removed to tho Auckland Hospital in a St.. John ambulance and at an eai-lv hour this morning Mcpherson's condition was stated to be not serious. Mr. Cosgrove was discharged after receiving treatment at the casualty department.
