WEST COAST ACCESS
With the arrival of the holiday season the roads to the West Coast beaches are in much better condition than was the case at this time last year. Wliatipu is now served with a good motor road, while the main route to Piha, Karekare and Anawhata is in good condition, tar-sealing having been completed as far as Oratia. Cyclists and hikers, however, will still have considerable difficulty with the metal stretches of these roads.
