INFANTILE PARALYSIS
1000 TH CASE REPORTED THE MELBOURNE OUTBREAK (Received November 30. 11 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Nov. 30 The 1000 th case of infantile paralysis was reported to-day. An analysis of the figures shows that 589 wore males and 411 females. Of the 29 adults seven died, and of the 971 children 50 died. Altogether 497 patients were discharged cured and partially cured. One family produced four cases, eight families three each, and 45 families two each. The warm weather and consequent congregation of people in spite of warnings and restrictions is resulting in a larg' number of cases being reported each dav.
