DARING ROBBERY
RUSSIAN ART TREASURES NEW YORK, Nov. 29 Art treasures valued at 25,000 dollars, which once belonged to the Russian Imperial Family, were stolen from tho Schaffer Galleries, Rockfeller Centre. Thieves drove up at 5.30 a.m., daringly hurled a brick through a plate-glass door and seized about 150 objects before being scared away by a passer-by. The loot included a gold and silver mounted Bible, once owned by Nicholas 11., a pair of gold and silver champagne coolers, once owned by Alexander 11. However, the thieves overlooked an eight-carat gold samovar weighing 541b., worth 25,000 dollars, once owned by Alexander 11.
