GRANT TOWARD UPKEEP STATEMENT BY MINISTER [BY TELEGRAPH— rRKSS ASSOCIATION J "WELLINGTON, Tuesday The Government's decision to grant £27,000 from the vote of the Department of Agriculture toward the upkeep of Massey and Canterbury Agricultural Colleges was announced to-day by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin. The Minister said there appeared to bo some misapprehension as to the Government's decision and one statement in the press had indicated that £26.000 was being provided out of the department's vote for Canterbury Agricultural College alone. The total" allocation for the two colleges was £27,000 and details of its apportionment would be set out in the Supplementary Estimates.
