CLOSING THIS MONTH BREAK! NG-UP CEREMONIES ARRANGEMENT OF DATES * The arrival of December, the last month in the school year, brings to the minds of children and teachers the approach of the Christmas vacation, which will commence shortly. Some secondary schools will close on Wednesday, December 15, but the majority, together with all State primary and district high schools, will remain open until the end of that week. Arrangements are now being made for prize-giving ceremonies in many schools. The first ; will be those of the Sacred Heart College and Dilworth School, where prizes will be presented on December 14, the schools breaking up on the next day. St. Cuthbert's College will close on December 15, with the customary ceremony. "Speech day" at the Diocesan Girls' High School is December 15, and pupils will leave during the two following days. At the Seddon Memorial Technical College breaking-up ceremonies will take place on December 16. Prizes will be given to successful King's School pupils on December 16, and the school will break up on the following day. The Epsom Girls' Grammar School will hold its prize-giving on the night of December 16, breaking up on December 17. The school year at King's College, the Auckland Girls' Grammar School, the Auckland Grammar School, Takapuna Grammar School and Mount Albert Grammar 'School will close on December 17.
