SIR S. HOARE'S TRIBUTE
AN APPRECIATIVE REPLY (•Received November 25, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. Nov. 21 The Swedish Minister in London, Baron Palmstierna, who is to retire at the end of the year, was the guest of honour at the annual dinner of the Anglo-Swedish Society. The Home Secretary, Sir Samuel IToare, president of the society, said Baron Palmstierna had interpreted SAveden to England and
England to Sweden in such a way that there were no two countries in Europe that understood each other better.
In replying, Baron Palmstierna said: "This England; this peace-demanding democracy; viis home for freedom of the spirit, inspires in all who settle down in this green and pleasant land a love which, grows with the years and which curries us to a stage where we feel wc cannot tear ourselves away."
