HOLLYWOOD WEDDING
JACKIE COOGAN'S BRIDE GREAT PUBLIC INTEREST (Received November 21, 6.30 p.nO HOLLYWOOD. Nov. 20 The young film actor Jackie CooganJ who made his fame as a boy, and Miss Betty Grable, also in the films, were married to-day in St. Brendans Roman Catholic Church after the bride had finished her day's work in a picture "College Swing" in which she is the star and Coogan has a' minor role.;
Miss Grable decide a few days ago to join the Roman Catholic Church, thus making her marriage before the altar permissible. Thousands of film fans surrounded the entrance to the church and filled the roadwaiy. Many film celebrities were among the 150 guests, including Charles Chaplin, Buck Jones, Alice. Fay, Anne Shirley and Jack Haley. ; The bride was gowned in grey and ■ wore a hat and veil. She was escorted !to the altar by her father. Coogan's mother and step-father followed.
Storms of rice greeted the. couple at the front door of the church' wher<l they posed for the photographers. The police held back a cheering crowd which included many autograph hunters.
.The couple went to Palm Springs for a honeymoon over the week-end. They will resume filming on- Monday.
