MILL STREAM BRIDGE
OPOTIKI-GISBORNE HIGHWAY [BY TKU'GKATH OWN CORKKSPONDKXT] OPOTIKT, Sunday The new bridge over the M ill Stream on the Opotiki-Gisborne highway is expected to be completed in time for the Christmas tourist season. The bridge has been placed at a much improved angle and will eliminate a very dangerous section of the highway, which has been responsible for a number of accidents. As soon, as the work is completed the contractor will shift the men to the Kaukokore Kiver bridge, on the new coastal highway, and the latter work, which is considerably behind schedule, will then be speeded up.
