SUMMER FLOWERS

SHOW AT WAIAU PA There was a fine display of flowers and vegetables at the annual flowershow organised by the members of the Waiau Pa branch of the Women's Division. The president of the Patumahoe branch, Mrs. A. Woolsey. performed the opening ceremony. All the blooms, especially, those in the rose section were of a high standard, the vegetable and decorative classes also being of good quality. Iho chief awards were Champion rose, Klizabeth of York, grown by Mr. M. (i. Brown; points prizes, rose section, Mr. M. G. Brown; flower section, Mrs. H. Smith; vegetable section, Mr. S. Hell; highest number of entries, Mrs. H. Smith.
