OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP The open snooker championship was continued last evening in the Vulcan Billiard Parlours. In the first match "\V. Thompson defeated C. Broomfield by two games to 'sne. Tho first gamo was very evenly contested, two points separating tho players with the colours on tho table. The second game was again evenly contested, Thompson requiring pink and black to win, but Broomfield potted pink. Tho third game was grimly contested, but went, in Thompson's favour on the colours to win the game and match.

Tho second match, between J. Shepherd and A. Silva, was won by the former in tno straight games, Silva requiring snookers with the blue, pink and black on the table in both

games. The tournament will be continued this evening, when 1). "White will meet C. Wood at and L. Adams will play C. Spencer at 8.30.
