TENTH TRIP COMPLETED SOUTH ISLAND TOURIST Completing his 10th tour of the world, Mr. James Lobb, a retired farmer, of Lawrence, Central Otano, returned to New Zealand by the Acrangi on Sunday. Mr. Lobb, who is 77 years of age, is a confirmed globetrotter, and experts to undertake yet nnothef* trip abroad the year after next.

Since his retirement from active farming 17 years ago, Mr. Lobb lias spent the greater part of his time travelling, and has friends in cities and towns in many parts of the world. He is also well-known to tho crews of many of the liners running between New Zealand and Canada or England. Although he has travelled so extensively, Mr. Lobb takes a lively interest in visiting strange places and in meeting fresh people. After a period in Cornwall lie extended his most recent trip to Scotland and Ireland, and returned to New Zealand by way of Canada and tho United States. .Born in Cornwall, Mr. Lobb came to Now Zealand in ISS3. He worked on farms in the South Island, and later became a farm manager and ultimately an owner.

In addition to travelling abroad, Mr. Lobb lias toured extensively in New Zealand. He is tho proud possessor of a 20-year-old motor-car in which ho has travelled well over 100,000 miles in various parts of tho South Island.
