COMMUNITY SUNSHINE
MOUNT ALBERT BRANCH The annual campaign for the sale of health stamps in the Mount Albert district conducted by the local branch of the Community Sunshine Association was inaugurated at the Mount Albert Post Office this week and according to reports submitted to the monthly meeting held on Wednesday, is receiving liberal support. The meeting, over which Mrs. W. H. Worrall presided, finalised arrangements for members to take their share in selling stamps for November. Permission was received from the board of directors for the use of Sunshine School, Nelson Street, for a jumble sale, and the necessary organisation for stalls and the collection of articles for sale was set up. Mrs. A. Sharpies, social convener, reported that the recent card evening had yielded £7. A special meeting was held on Wednesday evening when arrangements for the playground activities at Fowlds' Park during January were advanced a further stage.
