LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
ANNUAL REPORT PRESENTED DOMINION EXECUTIVE MEETING
The 11th/annual report and financial statement presented yesterday at a meeting in Wellington of provincial presidents and the Dominion executive of the League of Mothers, of New Zealand, stated that the total number of • branchesj-was 94; attending members numbered 7274; financial members 6210; and new members 1071. The thanks of the isolated mothers of the league were extended to Miss Richmond for her sympathetic work, and mention was made of the work of the Maori and scattered branches, carried on by Mrs. Stanley Harris. "During the year," the report stated, "we cancelled our affiliation with the Scottish Mothers' Union, and are now affiliated to the Scottish League of Wives and Mothers, whose aims and objects more "closely resemble the aims and objects of the League of Mothers of New Zealand. Information regarding links with the new union will be forthcoming later."
