NEW ECONOMIC SYSTEM
ADDRESS TO CIVIC LEAGUE WORLD PARLIAMENT URGED A universal economic system, in which there would be a Central world Parliament was advocated by Mrs. IC. M. Ax ford in an address to members of the Civic League yesterday afternoon. The meeting, which was held at the Penwomen's Club rooms, was presided over by Mrs. Kenneth Gordon. Airs. Axford said that by tho conquest of Nature the world had been brought into one neighbourhood. For a successful outcome to world enterprise, all the races had to be brought together under one economic system. A commonwealth of nations should be developed, one of the essentials of which would be a central government with ai> executive and a legislative chamber to legislate for the entire world. The secret of the success of such an economic system would lie in the fact that it was based 011 human relationships.
