THE WELLSFORD DISTRICT [from OUR OWN correspondent] WELLSFORD. Thursday Steady progress is being made by tho Waitomata Electric-Power Board in tho extension of power to the Wellsford district. Gangs of men art? now engaged in erecting poles in the township, while others are connecting the wires to the present lines at Way by. It is hoped to have tho power available in the township area by the end of the month. When the township is connected np a start will be made to erect poles an'd transmission lines to Port Albert and Te Hana.
