For failing to cross, a roadway at right angles to the kerb, 21 "jay walkers'? were convicted and ordered to pay costs in the Magistrate's Court "to-day. Mr. J,,W. Luxford, S.M., said it had been hi»_task to ileal with a number of "Wellington citizens previously for this offence, but owing to the newness of the regulations no penalty was inflicted.
