CHURCH SALE OF WORK
CASTOR BAY WOMEN'S LEAGUE
The Presbyterian Church Hall at Castor Bay was attractively decorated with cherry blossom, gladioli and sweet peas on Tuesday, when the annual sale of arts and crafts of the Women's League of Helpers was held. A wide range of work was displayed at the various stalls, including a large selection of novelty Christmas gifts. The sale was opened bv Mrs. J. A. Bradstreet,' who spoke of the value of women's work to any community, particularly one so small, and growing as that of Castor Bay. In tracing the history of the Castor Bay Presbyterian Church and the* Women's League -ot Helpers, Mrs. Bradstreet pa id tribute to the work done by the Rev. Morgan Richards and Mrs, Richards, president of the league
A madeira cake competition, judged by Mrs. Hemingway, of Milford, was won bv Mrs. S. A. Astle.v.
During the evening a concert, including community singing, was held, conducted by Mr. F. Broad.
