DEATH OF GARDENER

FALL FROM BICYCLE An inquest into tho death of Mr. Gerald Edgar Guilford, gardener, aged 57, of the Ellerslie Convent, who died in tho Auckland Hospital after falling from his bicyclo in Campbell Road, One Tree Hill, on August 28, was held before Mr. F. K. Hunt, coroner, yesterday. Mrs. 11, E. Green, of Campbell Road, said she saw deceased riding down an incline at a fast pace, and then heard a crash. The deceased was found lying on the road. There were no other vehicles in sight, and witness thought the accident was due to a sudden application of the brakes. Medical evidence showed that the deceased suffered a fracture of tho skull. A verdict was returned that death was due to injuries suffered when do-, ceased accidentally fell from his cycle.
