SOCIETY'S 7/- CAPITAL
With a capital of only seven shillings, a co-operative society, with seven shareholders and seven directors, is working to improve the standard of citrus fruit trees in New South Wales. This information was given by the secretary of the Fruitgrowers' Federation, Mr. E. E. Herrod, at a sitting of the commission of inquiry into the New South Wales fruit industry recently. • Mr. Herrod said that the society, which was formed in 1928, existed to provide buds to the industry true to type and obtained from parent trees of kno\jn high productivity.
