PALMER PRIZE AWARDS [liV TELKGHATH —PIIKSS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The results of the Palmer prize essay competition held by the Wellington Navy League were announced tonight. The senior boy winner was Andrew James Jopp (Waitaki Boys' High School); senior girls, Jean Holm (New Plymouth Girls' High School) and Mary Louise Kemp (Diocesan High School, Epsom, Auckland), equal; intermediate boys, Frank Garfield Spite (Waitaki Boys' High School); girls, Maureen C. Hill (Otngo Girls' High School); junior boys, John Torrance Hall (Waitaki Boys' High School); girls, Kathleen Judith Kent (Collegiate School, Napier).
