MISSING FLIERS SAFE
OFFICER AND HIS WIFE ' / -■ ——— FOUND IN THE SUDAN ~O ■ \ i NAIROBI. Oct. 13 Brigadier-General Arthur C. Lewin* and his wife, of Kenya Colony, who were missing on a flight to the Nile Valley, have been located. They are alive and safe near Malakal, in the Sudan. The. crew of an Imperial Airways machine'found them and dropped food for them. A motor-car rescue expedition has ~ been organised, as it will be impossible to land an aeroplane at the spot where the two' fliers are stranded. The searchers saw two figures : from the shade of the stranded machine, apparently uninjured. The progress of the land rescue party is impeded by floods. Brigadier-General Lewin, who is 63 years of age, was the oldest competitor Vra the recent King's Cup race. He finished second, two minutes 27 seconds after tjie winner, Mr. E. C. Gardner, and seven seconds before Captain E. W. Percival, who was third.
