GRANT FROM CABINET ; . - ' WORK STILL TO BE DONE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Uncertainty as to who was going to do the extra work was expressed by members of the Taupiri Draiftage Raw. to-day when advice was received tha the Cabinet had allocated the suiS 0 £5070 toward the cost of works subsidiary to the .Taupiri drainage scheme. It was thought the work should 9 done by the Public Works before it removed all its men SAO machinery from the large scheme. Members also expressed doubt as whether the board .would find it possible to faise the balance ol £2OOO required.-from the board tow a the subsidiary work, but it was deci to take no action until further detaj® were , available.
