Cocksure Wins Cocksure was sent out at a very short price for the Spring Stakes and won well. Prince Flaneur led into the straight from Cocksure, Steer Clear, Nuipai, Elmarch and Pol Roger. Cocksure drew up to Prince Flaneur inside the distance and beat him narrowly, although he appeared to have a little in hand. Steer Clear was a fair third, three lengths in front of Combat, who was closely followed by Nuipai and Phalanx.
