WESTFIELD QUOTATIONS j TOP VALUES EASIER DEMAND NOT MAINTAINED A dull tone was found at the Westfield weekly stock sale yesterday, when the demand for dairy cattle was indifferent. The sales in the store section, where the ynrdings wore slightly above average, were brisker, and an almost complete clearance was effected. The values for all lines were steady and showed little variation over recent rates. Boner cattle met with a ready demand from freezing works buyers. The yarding in tho dairy section waa also a shade above average, with a larger number of quality stock offering. Some good quality heifers were penned. Several lines failed to make reserve values and were passed in. Top values receded slightly, but the general level of recent rates was fairly well maintained. The best price was £9 10s for Jersey cows recently calved, with Ayrshire and Shorthorn heifers realising up to'£B 10s.
